The Austin Bold Fc is an American soccer team in Austin, Texas. The team was founded in 2018, and they played their first game in the USL Championship in 2019. The Austin Bold FC competes in the United Soccer League, Division II authorized league in the United States Soccer Federation hierarchy that includes 36 teams in Canada and the United States.

The Austin Bold FC is led by their head coach, Marcelo Serrano, and the team is devoted to promoting the growth of soccer in Central Texas. They also aim to form bonds with soccer supporters and youth leagues throughout Central Texas. The Austin Bold FC is expected to play an exciting and up-tempo style of soccer. They will also deliver a dynamic match day atmosphere, just like the city of Austin gives.

The Home Court of the Austin Bold FC

The club plays their home games at the newly constructed stadium located on the grounds of the Circuit of The Americas race track. And this stadium is situated between the grand plaza and the amphitheater. The first-ever goal that was scored in the stadium was done by Kleber Giacomazzi, and it is during a 1-0 match against the San Antonio FC last March 2019.

Who Owns the Austin Bold FC?

The chairman of the Circuit of the Americas, Bobby Epstein, has led the owner of the group after he became its majority owner in 2017. Epstein has also been involved in a public relations battle with Anthony Precourt. They have been sanctioned by Major League Soccer to make a franchise in Austin after he sold his stake in the middle of his controversy in Columbus Crew. USL Championship

As we mentioned, the Austin Bold FC competes in the United Soccer League Championship, Division II. The United Soccer League Championship is aa professional men’s soccer league in the U.S, and in 2017, it was sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation as a Division II Professional League, which is why they were placed under Major League Soccer, Division I, in hierarchy.

The USLC is owned by United Soccer League, and it was a result of the union of their USL First and Second Divisions. The USL said that this merger aims to strengthen the league’s position in the American professional soccer landscape because it is has a more stable commercial growth, and it promotes professional development of soccer in the four main regions in the United States and Canada.

The USLC is formerly known as the United Soccer League and United Soccer League Pro. But in January 2013, the Major League Soccer and United Soccer Leagues agreed to integrate the USL league competition with the MLS Reserve League to improve player development in North America and build ties between leagues in the American soccer pyramid. This deal allows USL and MLS team affiliations as well as developing players.
